Laos is the ‘Land of a Million Elephants’. Sadly, due to encroachment and other factors, their numbers are dwindling. Some experts say that within a few generations, these magnificent beasts might disappear unless something is done to help.

Journey with Khiri Laos to spend time living among elephants in one of their remaining natural habitats in Sayaboury province to the southwest of Luang Prabang. Programs consist of three-day mahout training programs, but longer stays are available for those that want to get a deeper insight into mahout living.
