Day 1   Arrival in Yangon

So what’s behind the golden façade of the Shwedagon Pagoda? During this interactive half-day tour we take you through the back door and show you the full history of the pagoda, the daily life of the people living in the immediate surroundings and we give deeper insights into Buddhism and how spiritual belief is mixed in with the belief in nats – Myanmar spirits. An intriguing half-day tour starting from the bottom of the hill and passing the workshops, markets and monasteries will be useful (even essential) during the rest of your journey. The tour includes a traditional Burmese breakfast, offerings to monks and the pagoda, a visit to a fortune teller,  and a Burmese lunch.

Day 2   Yangon – Bagan
In the early morning we take a flight to Bagan, known for its valley filled with amazing temples that have been there for hundreds of years. An experienced guide takes us to visit the most significant and best-known edifices. According to Khiri Travel principles, we stop at any temple that you would like to have a look at.

Day 3   Bagan
It’s time for our first round of golf — at the Bagan Nyaung Oo Golf Club. It was established in 1996 and is located at the back of the archaeological zone; some of the holes play among the pagodas. The course has 18 holes, is played in 72 par, and has a distance of 7,147 yards.

Day 4  Bagan – Heho – Taunggyi – Nyaung Shwe
We drive to Bagan airport and board a flight to Heho from where we take another short drive to Taunggyi’s Aye Tharyar Golf Course. It’s set up amidst the Shan Plateau and was established in 1995. The course has a challenging par 72 with 7,380 yards with a perfect cut of Bhamuda grass. After golf, we proceed to our hotel in Nyaung Shwe.

Day 5 Nyaung Shwe: Inle Lake
Inle Lake in southern Shan State is a vast natural lake surrounded by traditional Shan villages. On the lake itself the Intha people have been living for many centuries in villages built entirely on stilts. Today we will take you by private motorboat around the lake to discover its beauty.

Day 6 Nyaung Shwe – Heho – Yangon
In the morning we travel from Inle via Heho airport back to Yangon. Besides being the former capital and travel hub of the country, Yangon is also home to the Royal Mingalardon Golf & Country Club. It offers a true park-like golfing experience with water features, strategic bunkering and a mature landscape. Each hole has its own distinctive identity. The course is 18 holes (par 72).

Day 7  Yangon departure
On our last day in Yangon we enjoy free time until transfer to the airport for our onward international flight.
