Sustainability – Grav Test

In 1960 the world’s population was 3 billion people. Now we’re at 7 billion and on the way to 10 billion in 2050. Sustainability is no longer a luxury, a fad for the few, but a must-do if we want to leave a world that is livable for our children.

To think Global and act Local is one of our core values. In many parts of the world disposable plastic shopping bags are no longer used at all. Here in Asia this is not the case. On the other hand, the seemingly unstoppable habit of buying drinking water in disposable plastic bottles is on the increase globally, and has been widely adopted in our region. These are examples of things we in the travel industry can inspire others in to make change.

At Khiri Travel responsible travel practices are at the core of our product development and operations. We also have made a firm commitment towards social and environmental sustainability of our business.

We are partnering with expert organizations to help us set clear measurable goals to reduce, reuse and recycle. This starts at our offices and extends to our operations in the field. Khiri Reach is our charity, dedicated to ongoing People and Planet projects in the countries we operate in. We leverage our business network to link donors and volunteers with NGOs and community service projects that need the help. Khiri Travel and volunteering staff make it possible to ensure 100% of the donations go to the projects and keep blogs regularly informing donors and the public on progress made.
