Khiri’s Top Stopovers for One Night in Bangkok

If in transit through Bangkok and you need to spend one overnight, but don’t want traffic hassles to eat into your precious time, Khiri has some recommendations.

Hotel-de-Bangkok

First, try the airport high speed train link (airport link) to the city centre. Twenty minutes on the Rail Link take you the city center and the Makasan district, which is just around the corner from the brand new three-star Hotel de Bangkok. Good local dining is available at nearby Rangnam Road, which also has the King Power shopping complex. From there it is a short walk to the Saxophone jazz and blues club at Victory Monument. The Saxophone is a fabled musical institution after hours in the Thai capital.

Khiri Travel also offers the Best Western Amaranth about 10-minutes by road from the airport. Khiri, in cooperation with the Amaranth, is offering a private transfer to the hotel and a shuttle bus back for a special price. It’s a great way to spend a short night in total luxury and avoid having to travel into town.

The Novotel Bangkok Suvarnabhumi can be reached by a pedestrian tunnel from the arrival terminal. Although it is on the pricey side, it is the ultimate ‘no traffic’ stopover in Bangkok.
