990 Kayaking-1

Laos is a land of extensive areas of nature in which to enjoy outdoor adventures. The hills around Vang Vieng, the Karst mountains in the north and the Mekong Delta in the south, to mention a few, all offer unlimited opportunities for various outdoor activities.

Kayaking, for example, is a great activity available throughout the country. There are many possibilities in the rivers surrounding Luang Prabang. Visiting the Pak Ou caves by kayak is a fun alternative to the traditional long tail boat. In the southern part of Laos at Si Phan Don (4000 Islands), your travelers can kayak all around the small islands in the Mekong. After a long day of paddling, your clients can sit back in their kayak and enjoy the sunset that will give them a boost of energy to paddle back home. The opportunity to spot the world famous, endangered Irrawaddy freshwater dolphins at close range is an exciting bonus while kayaking in the Mekong at Si Phan Don.

990 Fair-Trek-1

Trekking is an easy and active way to explore the countryside and forested mountains of our laid back land of Laos. This type of travel caters nicely to meeting ethnic minority people such as Kamu and Hmong to learn about their traditional livelihoods and cultural values. There are bamboo bridges to cross the rivers and interesting paths to traverse rice fields and rubber plantations. Multiple day programs are possible including overnights in village homestays.

Khiri Travel Laos aims to show guests active adventures in Laos that are equal part outdoor activities and cultural experiences.
