Where can we find this hotel?

This 5-star boutique hotel is situated on the coast of Lombok near the Gili Islands.

Why do we like it?

The owner is an art collector and all the rooms and public spaces are decorated with lavish art and antiques from all over Indonesia. There are artifacts from the old King of Karang Asem together with pieces from Chinese and Arab traders that lived in Lombok during the colonial era.

What are the surroundings like?

The rooms are spacious and spread out over a large garden. Not once do guests have the feeling that they are in a hotel. It’s more like an open-air museum. The property has a long stretch of perfect white sand beach with plenty of daybeds and a big pool.

What can we do in the surroundings?

This hotel is just a 15-minute walk to the city center and all the attractions of Old Town Luang Prabang and a 5-minute transfer to the airport. There is also easy access to Ban Xangkhong, Pak Ou Cave and Ban Phanom.

Why do we like it?

This 3-star bed and breakfast boutique hotel is a new building in traditional Lao style. There are 4 deluxe and 20 standard rooms, a small swimming pool and an open-air restaurant at this property, which is surrounded by local houses.

What are alternative options to this hotel?

Two other options in Luang Prabang to compare the Le Vang Bua with and which we like very much are Maison Dalabua and Le Sen Boutique Hotel.

What’s it like?

This beautiful old colonial building has been converted into a modern, classy hotel. With 11 suites, a pool, a lovely restaurant and incredible staff, this is the place to stay in Colombo.
