Khiri Reach, the charitable arm of Khiri Travel, is proud to announce that the new information center for the Burmese star tortoise conservation project near Bagan is open and proving very popular, with very positive feedback from Khiri Travel clients, who have already paid the center a visit.

The project, which was set up by the Myanmar government with the help of the Wildlife Conservation Society, is a perfect way to learn about this endangered dry zone tortoise species.

Visitors can walk with a wildlife ranger to search for the rehabilitated species in the wild and also visit the baby tortoise center, which kids find particularly fun.

Each visit to the center by a Khiri Travel visitor provides income for this conservation project.
