Job Description

The Branch Manager is passionate about creating, maintaining and always improving the products and services delivering on Khiri Travel’s commitment to innovation and sustainability. The Branch Manager maintains excellent relations with hotels, transport suppliers, guides and community representatives to manage a competitive and successful product line.

Overall Departmental Goals:

To ensure the highest level of service, product innovation, administrative and reporting accuracy and complete guest satisfaction. Be a champion in the triple-bottom-line.

Specific Purpose and Scope of Work:

Responsible for the line-up of products for Khiri Travel in both Northern and Southern Thailand. Meet deadlines for local contracting, price quotations and all other duties, which are essential to dispatch our products on time and with a smile.

Base Office:

At Khiri Travel Chiang Mai Office, Thailand. Envision to spend up to 20 days in Phuket every two months

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • – Completely responsible for managing the branch offices in Chiang Mai and Phuket and the respective teams. Decision making on customer related matters
  •  
  • – Create innovative and commercially viable programs (sustainable, community-based activities, value-adding activities), in line with Khiri Travel standards
  •  
  • – To source and negotiate the best rates and conditions with local suppliers. Renegotiate contracts depending on the market situation
  •  
  • – Execute credit arrangements with suppliers
  •  
  • – Cash-flow management
  •  
  • – Manage staffing of both branch offices
  •  
  • – Manage training of staff and guides on a regular basis and to motivate staff to excel
  •  
  • – Maintain the relevant SOPs of Khiri Travel
  •  
  • – Assess our suppliers with regards to risks (Health & Safety) as well as sustainability (Travelife)
  •  
  • – Conduct inspection trips regularly to check the hotels and products and create informative reports
  •  
  • – Long-term account management with all local suppliers
  •  
  • – Manage weekly branch reports to the GM
  •  
  • – Supply the marketing team with content for quality website and social media
  •  

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • – Excellent command of the English language
  •  
  • – Bachelor in travel or hospitality is a plus
  •  
  • – A thorough understanding of the tourism industry
  •  
  • – A dynamic hands-on person, strategic thinker with a creative flair and the ability to generate/develop fresh ideas
  •  
  • – Sales and service-oriented and an efficient problem solver
  •  
  • – Advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  •  
  • – A thorough planner of what needs to be done when. An action-oriented leader
  •  
  • – Ability to build and maintain a good social business network
  •  
  • – Creative, innovative, entrepreneur, trustful and a champion of the triple-bottom-line
