Back to School for Khiri Travel Myanmar

December 23, 2014 by Khiri Travel | Filed Under:

This past June, in Myanmar we started English lessons for all of our staff. On Tuesdays and Thursdays for almost three months a special teacher named Marty came to train everyone in writing and verbal skills. Marty provided the lessons on two different levels. Some colleagues really thought they needed instruction while others were not sure if they needed lessons or not.

Once a week the lessons consisted of grammar and written exercises. The other times, lessons involved engaging in verbal activities to help our Myanmar staffers improve their grammar and speaking abilities.

The Myanmar team was happy to show improvement in English vocabulary and writing skills and now feel more confident to answer emails from our agents and tour suppliers. The Myanmar staff is really looking forward to having more English lessons in the future– but if possible, without homework!
