The Manor, Nyaung Shwe, Myanmar

Featured Hotels

This hotel is located in the town center of Nyaung Shwe, the gateway to Inle Lake. This new hotel catches attention due to its architectural combination of traditional and modern styles. Also, the personalized service definitely exceeds the expectations of a 3-star hotel.

The rooms are designed for functionality and lots of sunlight with modern amenities such as LCD TV and rain showers. A big plus is the in-house Belu Bar serving delicious cocktails and very tasty fusion food.

Villa Song, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Featured Hotels

A 4-star boutique hotel, the Villa Song is located in a peaceful, residential district on the banks of the Saigon River about 15 minutes away from the center city. Designed like an old French colonial villa, the 23 rooms are great for high-end guests and business travelers.

Khiri Travel Country Manager, Flor, inspected this property. She visited a quiet garden restaurant where the Vietnamese and French fusion food is spectacular. An alternative option to this hotel is the Park Hyatt with the same level of excellent service but closer to the city center.

Le Luxe Boutique Hotel, Vientiane, Laos

Featured Hotels

One of the most recently renovated properties in the heart of Laos’ capital city, Le Luxe Boutique Hotel offers 15 rooms as Suites, Deluxe and Superior, each of which keeps the character of this historic colonial building. It is located only 800 meters from three famous temples of Vientiane.

The 3-star hotel is a family friendly accommodation with a focus on service and quality at a competitive rate. Two alternative options to this hotel are the Sabaidee @ Lao Hotel, a bit farther away and on the Mekong riverfront, and Mandala Boutique Hotel, a former French family villa renovated in 2012.

Shinta Mani Club, Siem Reap, Cambodia

Featured Hotels

This accommodation is a 4-star boutique style, design hotel in downtown Siem Reap. The Shinta Mani and their sister hotel across the street, the Shinta Mani Resort, focus on sustainability and community outreach. Miles, the Khiri Travel inspector found the staff, service and management exemplary.

The alternative options to this hotel are the Shinta Mani Resort, rated #2 in the world by Trip Advisor’s People’s Choice Awards for 2016 and the Park Hyatt Siem Reap.

Bukit Indah, Central Lombok, Indonesia

Featured Hotels

Located about 30 minutes from Lombok’s international airport and only five minutes drive to the beach, this small 3-star hotel is set within a private garden and consists of four double rooms with ensuite indoor/outdoor baths. The decorating is inspired by the different cultures of Indonesia with handmade Javanese tile, Balinese style carved doors and “songket” woven wall hangings from Lombok.

The rooms are very clean and quiet with excellent service. It has very affordable rates for an accommodation near the beautiful Selong Belanak beach.

Fort Bazaar, Galle, Sri Lanka

Featured Hotel Sri Lanka

This is a small, charming luxury hotel located in the heart of the historic Galle Fort. Built around a shady courtyard, the rooms are airy and feel crisp and new. The minimalist design pairs well with some local touches to give the Fort Bazaar a comfortable and cozy atmosphere. The restaurant features some Sri Lankan classics that are a must to try.

An alternative option to this accommodation is the Galle Fort Hotel located on the same street although the prices are a bit higher.

Islanda Hideaway Resort, Krabi, Thailand

Featured Hotel Thailand

This resort is comprised of 29 bungalows surrounded by gardens, a bar and restaurant serving excellent, locally sourced Thai food. Inspected by Khiri Travel Thailand’s Christian Sutton, this accommodation is located on a little known island close to Krabi town and provides a wonderful escape for those wanting a quiet break and to experience what Krabi was like 30 years ago!

The island is so small, guests can take a self-guided bicycle tour or hire a tuk tuk to visit small Muslim villages or take a boat ride through the coastal mangroves to look for birds. The resort is also the perfect place to relax and unwind watching the sunset and beautiful sea view from the large infinity pool.
