Discover the Mekong in Style

June 13, 2019 by Khiri Travel | Filed Under: ,

Why always stick with the ordinary? Khiri Travel Laos has created a luxurious new country combination experience that connects the highlights of Laos with hidden gems on the Thai side of the Mekong.

Arrive in the sleepy World Heritage town of Luang Prabang and enjoy several of our signature experiences, while residing in luxurious accommodation, such as the unique Sofitel Luang Prabang.

After a few days of discovering the town and its surroundings, continue to Vang Vieng for the day to learn about local village life. You will also paddle by kayak on a scenic adventure down the Mekong, surrounded by the region’s soaring limestone cliffs and mountains.

Your journey will continue with a short visit to the capital, Vientiane. Here you will have the opportunity to visit some of the city’s highlights, before crossing the border into lesser-known areas of Thailand’s rural Isaan region.

The final part of your journey will take you down a winding road on the banks of the Mekong River to a secret resort hideaway, where seclusion and tranquility give this place its unique charm.

Here you can simply relax, watch the peaceful river glide by and enjoy an exclusive dinner on your terrace. Later in the evening, you can also visit the atmospheric night market in nearby Chiang Khong.
