Take your family to Cambodia

October 11, 2017 by Khiri Travel | Filed Under: , ,

Cambodia has a wide variety of coastal destinations for families that want to relax by the beach, or take family walks through quiet seaside towns.

There are great family resorts in places such as Kep and Sihanoukville, which offer a high standard of customer service and unique experiences. Small tropical islands are not so far away and offer the opportunity to explore great beaches, and coastal life.

The country is also rich in wildlife, forest, and jungle, making it a great destination for those active families seeking an adventure in nature. Trekking tours enable families to see first hand a wide range of plants and wildlife. There are also boat tours and cycling through the countryside in places such as Mundulkiri, Chi Pat and the Cardamom Mountains.

Phnom Penh is a bustling capital city rich in culture for families to explore. Cambodia, having a massive 70% of its population under 25 years of age, has an abundance of young people, something that families visiting from overseas can relate to, and learn how other young people from different backgrounds live.

The entertainment scene, now offering more for families than ever before, is another attraction for families. Visitors can bring their young ones to the Cambodian Phare Ponleu Selpak Circus in Siem Reap (or Battambang) to witness great acrobatics, humor and thrilling story lines. Other shows include as puppetry and traditional dance. The family can join a cooking class or a food tour to experience real Asian cuisine in a fun way.

Cambodia’s increasing popularity with families is due to the abundant and high level of accommodation across a wide range of styles and locations throughout the country. Khiri Travel can arrange stays at hotels such as Park Hyatt in Siem Reap, which offers a full manny service for parents of young children, allowing the parents time to explore a vaster area of Angkor. The Victoria Angkor Resort and Spa has an in-house play center for young children. Sofitel and Raffles hotels in Siem Reap both have ample play facilities to ensure that children are kept entertained throughout their stay.

There is plenty of things to do in Cambodia with the family. For more information about the beach resorts in Kep or Sihanoukville , trekking in Chi Pat and the Cardamoms or Phnom Penh and the Phare Circus in Siem Reap, please contact [email protected].
