Far-Flung Day Tour Highlights of Vietnam

November 13, 2017 by Khiri Travel | Filed Under: , , , , , , ,

In the main travel hubs of Vietnam, Khiri Travel can arrange off the beaten path alternatives or additions to compliment other activities and tours. Here are some ideas around Sapa, Hoi An and Saigon.

Explore Hoang Lien National Park, Sapa

Leaving Sapa town behind, transfer for a village walk in Sin Chai inhabited by Black Hmong people. Sin Chai is located at the foot of Fansipan Mountain in an area covered by jungle and under the protection of Hoang Lien National Park. Upon arrival at the village, there is time to walk around, visit the home of the Black Hmong people, and experience the daily life of the villagers who still maintain their ancestor’s way of life. Leaving the village, travelers follow a dirt trail running through rice paddies and cornfields along a narrow river, enjoying the spectacular scenery. At the end of the day, we return to the village center to get on our vehicle for the drive back to Sapa.

The Survivors of Tiger Hunting in Hoi An

A bit away from Hoi An, we give travelers a chance to visit a beautiful traditional house decorated with woodcarvings and mother of pearl. The inhabitants are a pair of elderly men, one a specialist in traditional Chinese medicine and the second a former tiger hunter, who will explain how they used to go tiger hunting in the past using just a net. Enjoy a walk around the village and rice paddy and take the opportunity to talk to the village people and learn about their traditions. After a relaxing picnic lunch in the village, travelers will return back to Hoi An.

The Taste of the Night Motorbike Street Food Tour in Saigon

This evening motorcycle tour, suitable for all travelers to Vietnam, begins with meeting our friendly English speaking guides who are properly licensed and trained. Each personal guide will give safety instructions on how to ride on the back of the motorbike correctly in order to ensure a fun and safe experience. In the tour we visit three different street vendor stalls to taste samples of all their foods and learn about the history and cultural significance of each food item. The guides will also explain the sights of Saigon along the way. At a night market we sample more Vietnamese food delicacies as well as the many exotic fruits native to Vietnam. The tour ends with the most popular of Vietnamese food traditions: the street barbeque, an “all you can eat” buffet of many different foods including a variety of rice wine, snake wine and ginseng wine.
