Fireworks as New Flight Links Southern Lao and Danang in Vietnam

Lao Airlines will start a new flight service linking Pakse and Savannakhet in southern Lao with Danang in Vietnam. The flights will start in mid April just before the Lao New Year celebrations and will be operated three times a week, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, using a 65-seat ATR72 aircraft. TTR Weekly reports that the service will start from Pakse at 0900, stop in Savannakhet to pick up passengers and arrive at Danang at 1140. The plane will return at 1410 and land in Pakse at 1700.

Khiri Vietnam says this is ideal timing, as the Colour of Danang international fireworks competition will take place April 29-30 in Danang. Teams from Vietnam, China, Canada, France and Italy will compete in the firework competition at Danang port. With flights leaving on Saturday morning, there’s time to explore the World Heritage city of Hoi An, catch the fireworks on Sunday and Monday evening and then continue your trip through Vietnam.
