Last month we inspected the latest hotel from the Serenata group, the Hotel de Bangkok. The Khiri team like it because it is very useful for clients who want to do some shopping in Bangkok. After their stay their simply hop aboard the nearby Airport-City Train Link.

Hotel de Bangkok is in the Pratunam area, arguably the best shopping location in town. Platinum Mall is great for fashion and Pratunam market has many clothing bargains. The King Power Complex is nearby for a full range of ‘duty free’ designer shopping options. The Rachaprasong luxury goods area is only a 15-minute walk away.

Inside Hotel de Bangkok, even the most basic category room has LCD TV with international-channel cable network, refrigerator, wireless internet access, in-room safety box, individually controlled air-conditioning, IDD-phone, bath-tub, shower and computerised security key card. Superior and deluxe room types also add hair dryers, balcony and a coffee/tea machine among other amenities. The restaurant and bar is Thai-Italian.

Hotel de Bangkok is a great little niche hotel. Don’t just take our word for it. There are many favourable guest comments on www.hoteldebangkok.com and TripAdvisor.
