Myanmar’s Best Kept Secret Holiday: White Sandy Beaches

March 7, 2013 by Khiri Travel | Filed Under: , , ,

After a tour of the highlights in Yangon, Mandalay, Inle and Bagan, Khiri Travel Myanmar can help your clients add on a relaxing tour to the white sandy beaches of Ngapali.

March, April and May are traditionally the months in which most Myanmar holidaymakers are heading for the beach. Why? The beach is sunny and breezy and the perfect place to cool down and relax. Besides that – it’s the time of year for school holidays and when Myanmar celebrates their biggest holiday of the year, the Buddhist New Year. The New Year holiday also means that many offices are closed from three to ten days.

The beach at Muang Shwe Lay near Ngapali in Myanmar

Outside the peak season of November to February, tourist arrivals to the country are low. After the peak season is over, Khiri Travel Myanmar offers a tour to visit one of Myanmar’s best-kept secrets: beautiful beaches. We will go by boat from southwestern Myanmar’s coast at Ngapali to a beach called St Andrew’s and a traditional Rakhine fishing village. While your clients explore the authentic village life of this small community, we will set up a peaceful overnight camp on the beach.

Khiri is often asked if it’s too hot to travel during March, April and May. The answer is no, in fact, the highest temperatures at Ngapali Beach are an enjoyable 32 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, the average temperature in Yangon ranges from 27 to 31 degrees from February to April.

No matter which month your clients travel to Myanmar – the sun can be hot, especially during the end of the dry season from March to May. Therefore, we advise our visitors to always drink enough water (provided free of charge during the Khiri tours) and bring a hat.

Khiri Travel Myanmar has put some promotional packages together to benefit reduced rates for a luxury trip through Myanmar with short visits to Bagan and Inle Lake and a long stay at a comfortable beach resort at the end.
