Khiri Reach Guide Fund

With the collapse of international tourism, it’s time to show our guides that they belong to a much larger family, a caring global one!

Khiri Reach, would like to invite you to invite your customers — travelers and tourists — to make a donation to help the guides who have made their tours so special.

During the current crisis, we became increasingly aware of our social responsibility towards our staff, tour guides, drivers and communities we work with. We had to lay off many of our employees, place others on furlough, and put those remaining on reduced salaries. We are proud of how our staff has coped with this crisis, but we are currently putting together a better internal system to support our teams in any future scenarios of unemployment. With the collapse of international tourism, our guides’ livelihoods have been completely upended. Many have had no work or income since February. In Southeast Asia, government safety nets are minimal if they exist at all, especially for freelance workers. 

Our tour guides, who are among the very hardest hit by the current crisis have warmly welcomed your treasured guests into their countries, lives and homes.
Khiri Reach, the charitable arm of Khiri Travel, would like to invite you to invite your customers — travellers and tourists — to make a donation to help the guides who have made their tours so special. 

Khiri Reach has created a simple fundraising page on FundRazr with a very easy donation process and set up a Paypal account. One hundred percent of contributions, large or small, will go directly to the guides.

You can find an optional draft letter that you may wish to email to clients so that they can make the donation. If you would like to present this fund-raising initiative to your clients as yours and with no mention of Khiri Travel that is totally fine. We are doing our best to support staff, guides and local partners during this difficult time and we hope your customers can contribute too.
