Our idyllic choice of hotels offer breathtaking locations, beautiful accommodation and delicious food – all at great value for money!

Anantara Quy Nhon Villas, Vietnam

Located in a secluded bay in south central Vietnam, known for its wide beaches and emerald waters, Anantara Quy Nhon Villas – a brand new all-villa resort – redefines a luxurious beachside holiday with private pools, in-room butler services and unique spa treatments, plus a range of local guest experiences that showcase this undiscovered part of Vietnam.

Anantara Quy Nhon comprises 26 one- and two-bedroom ocean-facing villas ensconced amidst 7.2 hectares of landscaped tropical gardens. The resort is designed to seamlessly blend into the natural environment with locally-sourced materials, traditional craftsmanship and regional influences discretely incorporated into its contemporary design.

The spacious villas boast sleek timber and granite sundecks, large bathtubs, private lap pools and extended low, overhanging roofs – giving them a fresh, contemporary feel. Vietnamese blue stone keeps the look of the common areas vernacular while granite and marble elements introduce a touch of modernity.

A destination in its own right, the dining outlets at Anantara Quy Nhon celebrate the abundant local seafood and regional flavours. At Sea Fire Salt the signature dining restaurant, Anantara’s Salt Guru elevates the dining experience with expert advice.

The resort is a 40-minute drive from Quy Nhon Airport and only a 15-minute drive from downtown Quy Nhon. Daily flights into Phu Cat Airport are operated from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.

The soft opening of the resort took place last month and it will be fully open in January 2019.

Wild Grass Nature Resort, Sigiriya, Sri Lanka

As the name suggests, Wild Grass Nature Resort is the perfect place for nature and wilderness lovers, but the best part of the experience is that it all comes without compromising on the type of luxuries you expect, while on holiday.

The spacious villas are well spread out, providing guests with much needed privacy – and most importantly – stunning views of the little lake situated in front of the resort. Just walking around the property itself is a beautiful experience – especially if you enjoy walking through pristine, untouched nature. This is certainly one of our favourite properties to be based at while exploring the cultural triangle.

Not to be missed are the resort’s special meals served at the top of the rocky outcrop located on the resort’s premises. Dining can be arranged for breakfast, dinner – or even afternoon tea! The experience begins with a short nature trek and a small climb to the top of the rock, where you can enjoy spectacular 360 degree views of the surrounding lakes and mountains, including Sigiriya rock fortress in the distance.

After taking in the scenery, you can watch your food arrive at the top of the rock via a special rope and pulley system – a fascinating process to watch and a unique way to be served your meal!

You then sit down to dine at a natural slab of granite that serves as a table with the ancient landscape and rolling forest stretching out below you. Your meal will taste that much better after all the walking and climbing you did to there!

Alila Villas Koh Russey, Cambodia

An ecological escape on the enchanting island of Koh Russey only 16 km off the coast of Sihanoukville, the 5-star Alila Villas Koh Russey is a place where privacy, nature and local hospitality take center stage.

A modern stylish retreat that is truly in tune with nature, the resort’s minimalist cubic buildings blend discreetly into the tropical setting. Hardwood floors, dark slate-like stone and steel meet with wooden screens, light-colored fabrics and plush furnishings to create a comfortable contemporary feel. High ceilings and large bay windows maximize the airy, luminous tropical ambience, while the beautifully landscaped gardens combine the lush greenery of indigenous trees and plants with Zen-like simplicity and serenity.

The villas, each with their own pool and pavilions, offer the ultimate in contemporary comfort and luxury. Guests can enjoy access to all of the resort’s facilities, including a beachfront swimming pool, restaurant, beach grill and bar, spa and gym. A yoga studio with complimentary classes, outdoor cinema and an organic garden complete the picture.

Conceived as an ecological escape, Alila Villas has a low-building density, spread out over six hectares, with the vast majority of this small island covered by an abundance of natural forest and landscaped gardens, planted with indigenous flora. Water and energy-efficient features are implemented throughout the resort, which also has its own water bottling plant to minimize plastic waste on the island. In addition, its restaurant is committed to using locally grown ingredients and those grown in its vast organic garden. Delicious, healthy cuisine at Alila is only outdone by the island’s fantastic beach!

Alternative accommodation of a similar standard is the Six Senses Krabey Island, a tropical private island escape, only a short boat ride north of Alila Villas.

Kiridara Luang Prabang, Laos

The Kiridara Luang Prabang is situated on a hillside surrounded by lush trees with panoramic views of Mount Phou Si hill in the center of Luang Prabang’s old town. The name ‘kiridara’ in Sanskrit means ‘star upon the mountain’ – an appropriate name the resort’s elevated location above the former royal capital.

Built in a terraced formation facing southwest toward the Mekong River, Kiridara’s accommodations offer a fantastic balance between modern minimalism and traditional Laotian architecture with local interior design elements. The Mountain View suites and spacious villas all boast captivating views looking out across the town and rolling mountains beyond the Mekong. Not only is this a great luxury getaway for couples, it’s ideal for families looking for a peaceful, spacious location away from the crowds.

The resort has friendly well-trained staff that are ready to go out of their way to make your stay a comfortable one. Dining is a pleasant surprise with a well-balanced menu of exquisite Laotian dishes and western fare that can be enjoyed at Chef’s Table– the hotel’s new concept restaurant. Guests will also appreciate dining outdoors at The Deck, where they can savor the resort’s selection of signature Southeast Asian-inspired cocktails.

Facilities include a large infinity pool and a spa where guests can choose from an extensive menu of therapeutic offerings including healing massages, body treatments, facials and baths. In addition to a gym, Kiridara also provides complimentary bicycles for guests who want to explore the city at their own pace.

While this is not a new resort, we have received some excellent feedback from our clients about how much their guests enjoyed staying at Kiridara Luang Prabang.

Salay River View Inn, Bagan, Myanmar

Salay River View Inn is a small boutique property recently opened in the town of Salay, an active religious center with over 50 monasteries, located 35 km south of Bagan on the banks of the Irrawaddy River. Envisioned by a local guide-turned-entrepreneur, Salay River View is built inside a restored warehouse dating back to British rule in Burma, more than century ago.

Much like Salay’s old town, which dates from the 12th and 13th centuries when Bagan’s influence began to spread, the restored heritage building is filled with artefacts of Bagan’s past. From Salay River View it’s easy to explore the old town, or you can opt to simply relax on Salay River View’s outdoor deck with a tipple of rum and enjoy the timeless beauty of the Irrawaddy River as it meanders by.

Salay River View’s main facilities include a beautiful garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a kettle, a shower, desk and en suite bathroom with free toiletries. A continental breakfast is served every morning and guests can enjoy a number of activities arranged by Salay – the most popular of which is cycling with one of the bicycles from the hotel’s rental service.

The nearest airport to Salay River View is Nyaung U Airport, about a 40-minute drive.
