New road will link central Laos with the Plain of Jars

990 Plain of Jars The new road is excepted to boost the economic development of the two newly to be linked provinces of Bolikhamxay and Xieng Khuang next year. The Lao government approved more than 78 billion kip for this road project. The project starts Bolikhamxay’s Pakxan district and will link directly with Xieng Khuang province. The total length of the new road will be 78 km. About 42 km of the new road are already complete and the remaining 36 km will be completed by 2010.
