Speed enthusiasts, take note!  Red Bull Champion Team and star F1 driver Mark Webber will descend on Rachadamnern Avenue on Saturday, December 18 for a two to three-lap demonstration drive in honor of His Majesty King Bhumibol’s Birthday. The circuit will run from the Golden Mount towards Democracy Monument, and finish at Kok Wua Intersection.

Even though the distance is short, and the road surface is probably not of the right quality for F1 performance, the demo drive will be a great opportunity for Bangkokians to see F1 performance cars in their own city. Singapore already hosts a full annual F1 event every September.

If you are in Bangkok, don’t miss the event. Rachadamnern Avenue is within a stone’s throw from Banglumpoo (Khao San Road) and can be easily reached from riverside hotels by using the Chao Praya Express Boat. The event starts at 2 PM, but it is advised to arrive early!
