‘Responsible Connection’ Tour

October 6, 2012 by Khiri Travel | Filed Under:

Our new ‘Responsible Connection’ tour in Vietnam gives you the chance to experience World Heritage sites, sustainable projects and gain a glimpse into local life.

This special 12-day tour, which spans Ha Noi, Cuc Phuong, Da Nang, Hue, Ho Chi Minh City and Nam Cat Tien, is not to be missed.

In Ho Chi Minh, check out Ba Dinh Square and the Temple of Literature. Venture to the Hoa Binh Peace Village, established in 1991 to provide relief to children with mental and physical ailments, mainly from the effects of Agent Orange, and is home to over 130 children. The village has four main functions, including giving care, treatment, primary level education and vocational training. You’ll have a chance to teach them English songs or attend a vocational train with them.

You’ll pay a visit to Phuong National Park, Vietnam’s oldest national park, which is home to The Endangered Primate Rescue Center and the Turtle Center. Here you’ll learn about the conversation works that are being done at the Park, as well as meet some of the furry residents.

Tour Ha Long Bay, one of the most spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Areas and the world’s largest marine limestone ‘karts’ landscape, aboard a wooden junk boat. Relax and marvel at the area’s natural beauty.

The next few days are packed with pagodas, museums, local villages, and parks.
In Nam Cat Tien you’ll visit the National Park, one of the largest and most important parks of Vietnam, for a jungle trek full of exotic birds and animals and a night drive through the park to view nocturnal wildlife.

Back in Ho Chi minh, you’lll experience the Reunification Palace, the former residence of the presidents of South Vietnam, as well as the War Remnants Museum and the Notre Dame Cathedral.

Visit Thien Phuoc Charity, another organization dedicated to helping disabled children affected by Agent Orange. The children require a lot of help and support, and your visit means a lot to them.

This tour not only allows you to see the ‘real’ Vietnam – it also allows you to give back to the local community, contribute to environmental causes, and make a few special children smile.
