Cadamom Mountain - Cambodia

Cambodia is home to a variety of rewarding community based ecotourism projects. One of these can be found in Chi Phat, in the center of the Cardamom Mountains in the southwest of the country. The community of Chi Phat is part of the Cambodia Community Based Eco-tourism Network. Their mission is to strengthen the country’secotourism network by serving the needs of its members, communities and visitors. These objectives are met by member engagement, advocacy, capacity building and training.

Chi Phat community offers many opportunities to explore the Cardamom mountains. Clients can choose single and multi-day guided treks, mountain bike trips, kayak or traditional boat trips. It’s a great way to see the diversity of wildlife and birds in a very bio diverse corner of Cambodia. Clients can also overnight with the community in guesthouses or homestays.

The community is within easy reach by car and boat from Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville and Koh Kong.
