Job description

Resolutely focused on growing our business in Thailand by forging long-lasting relationships with likeminded tour operators worldwide, we are looking for a energetic, resourceful, commercial and hands-on person to ensure new leads are welcomed with the Khiri passion and expertise.

The Sales and Business Development Manager is responsible for the successful conversion and induction of agents new to Khiri Travel Thailand. Supported by a small, agile team of staff there is a high level of autonomy. While many leads are provided by sales teams in Europe and the USA, as well as by the Chief Commercial Officer, personal involvement in business development is part of the job.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Co-create the annual sales plan manage monthly reports on its execution
  • Understanding of the essential products of Khiri Thailand and ability to match these with (potential) clients
  • Manage efficient, value-adding communications and efficient record-keeping
  • Successfully convert new leads to become performing agents
  • Form, train and lead a small team to assist in price calculations
  • Work closely with the Khiri Travel Sales Office in the USA and sales representatives in UK and Germany to ensure full understanding of agents under their scope
  • Periodic attendance of tradeshows and travel to visit offices of (potential) agents
  • Help organize familiarization trips
  • Keep track of trends and share with relevant teams in the company
  • Manage smooth handover of established clients to the account management teams.
  • Work closely with product and contracting teams to maximize agent production and keep our itineraries both cutting edge and marketable
  • Ensure proper usage of Khiri IT systems
  • Work closely with peers in other Khiri countries to ensure best practice and excellent lead management
  • Increase company visibility in the industry and be an ambassador for the brand.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a commercial position in the travel and leisure industry, preferably in Thailand
  • Fluent English skills, command of a second European language an advantage
  • Proven track record of commercial success in the travel industry
  • High-energy personality, thrives under pressure
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in writing and in person with local staff and customers of all walks of life.
  • Ability to analyze sales-related data
  • A passion for travel and open to explore different cultures


We offer a competitive salary and benefits in a great work environment at our office in Nonthaburi (Greater Bangkok). Visa and Work Permit arranged. The position will require regular travel within the country and periodic travel abroad. The Sales and Business Development Manager reports to the General Manager.
