HTI bar & restaurant

Bagan is becoming an increasingly popular tourist destination. And, while people used to think that Old Bagan was the must see place – it’s now becoming clear that New Bagan or Nyaung Oo are the favorite places to stay if you want to leave the hotel in the evening some good food or a drink.

Some of our favorites in Nyaung U are HTI bar & restaurant (http://www.facebook.com/HtiBarRestaurant) as well as Black Bamboo. On the same street there are at least 10 other restaurants and bars that cater for a good night out. Come early as most places will probably be closed by 23:00.

In New Bagan some of the favorites are Green elephant, the restaurant of the newly opened Areindmar hotel which is getting very good reviews as well as the Blue Bird Bagan restaurant. Alternatively just stroll around New Bagan and go for one of the “pap & mum” restaurants in the evening.
