April 2, 2014 by Khiri Travel | Filed Under: ,

Every month, we put the spotlight on one of the key players that make it happen for your privileged clients. This month, get to know Kataithong Nengnakhone, Operations Manager* at Khiri Travel Laos

Katai Laos

Who is Katai?

I love the what I have been doing like working and studying at the same time so every minute is worth for me and meanwhile I really dislike the way people doing nothing when they have spare time. My favorite dish is spaghetti and in my free time I usually read news from my iPhone’s apps like BBC or CNN and browsing information in Wikipedia.

Can you tell about your work with Khiri?

I’ve been working here for 7 months. I’ve work here as Operations Manager, and my main responsibilities are to look after the operational work for whole country as well as customer relations. I like to work with Khiri because Khiri has a good reputation in Laos and some rules are quite flexible for staff.

What describes Lao culture?

I’ve been staying here since I was born the thing that u like from this country is its traditions. My tradition is not very open, it’s very unique and still been preserved until these days, such as to dress properly when we go to religious places, a ritual ceremony like Alms giving in the early morning, a Baci ceremony for home coming or a new house .. etc.

Where in Laos do you like to travel most yourself?

The site that I like the most is Patuxai as when you got to the top of it you then can see the panoramic view and this is also a symbol of Laos which means if you came to VTE Laos and you miss this site it doesn’t mean you come to Laos.

Any advise for agents on how to sell Laos?

They should talk about the charm and unique of the sight that we are presenting. They can also make the introduction more persuasive and find out what are the interests of the travelers.

*Since November 2014 Katai takes up the position of Sales Manager at Khiri Travel Laos.
