Every month, we put the spotlight on one of the key players who make it happen for your privileged clients. This month, get to know Chanakarn (Yui) Boonruang, Sales Manager, Khiri Travel Thailand.

What is your position with Khiri Travel?

I am a Sales Manager with Khiri Travel Thailand, specifically for FIT and GIT programs. I am responsible for making custom itineraries depending on the client’s requests and budget. An important aspect of my job is to ask many questions and understand the wishes of the client. I have worked for Khiri for six years.

What tourist destination in Thailand would you recommend?

I like Koh Phangan because of the clean white sand and clear ocean water of the beach at Haad Rin. This place is great for relaxing and sunbathing and also has the full moon party at night. The local people and their old wooden houses are very nice at Koh Phangan.

What is your favorite Thai food?

My favorite dish is Tom Yam Goong, the most famous Thai spicy soup. I recommend ordering this soup at the Tom Yum Kung Restaurant on Khao San Road. It’s on a small soi (side street) and so it is not so busy with the tourist crowd there.

Please tell us a little bit about your personal life.

I’m a member of the Hello Kitty fan club and have collected many of her items. I think many girls all over the world feel like me that everything about her is so cute. They have just opened a Hello Kitty store in Siam Square and I dream that one day I will have my home decorated completely with Hello Kitty.
