Stylish New Retreat and Residences in Siem Reap

boutique hotel in Siem Reap

The newly opened Karavansara Retreat and Residences has opened as a boutique hotel in Siem Reap in a pleasant garden enclosure. We like it for its intriguing mix of new and old. The design is a successful marriage of a recently renovated heritage-listed French villa and a traditional Khmer wooden house.

The lobby and restaurant are located in the wooden Khmer building, constructed with parts of three hardwood houses brought in from the countryside. This contrasts nicely with the modern style of the hotel itself. There are 18 modern rooms in contemporary design, six downstairs, 12 upstairs.

The Residences are adjacent to the hotel and offer two and three bedroom apartments with a kitchen. We like the spaciousness. It’s an ideal place to stay for families. The location is very central, a stone’s throw from the central market. Find out more.
