Situation in Northern Rakhine State

The unrest from last week in Northern Rakhine State appears to be under control with the police controlling the situation, and reports saying peace has been restored. No travelers were in the area or involved in the riots and Khiri Travel Myanmar expects the area will soon be back to normal.

Hotel Availability in Myanmar During High Season

It may seem challenging to book hotels in Myanmar during the high season but Khiri Travel has the ability to accommodate clients who want to travel between November and February. Having said that, clients may not get immediate confirmation for the room or the hotel they prefer. We ask that you remain patient(to wait for room confirmation – as it takes many hotels a couple of weeks to manually update reservations) or flexible (to accept an alternative hotel or room). In any case, the best part of visiting Myanmar is the sights and the people – not a certain hotel room — and we know travelers will agree!
