Spotlight On interview with staff - MR.Chinh - Vietnam

Who is Mr. Luong Chinh?

My full name is Mr. Luong Chinh. I live in Hoi An City in central Vietnam with my wife and our son and daughter. My daughter has a child so I just became a grandfather. In my free time I like to read, play guitar, walk and do physical exercise.

What is your responsibility with Khiri Travel Vietnam?

I am an English-speaking tour guide. My main job is to pick up guests from airports and railway stations, lead them around for sightseeing and then see them off as scheduled. I have worked for Khiri Travel for almost five years.

I like this kind of work because travelers are very cooperative with our tour guides and are always interested in making conversation. This allows me to explain my culture and learn about the culture of their countries. This exchange really inspires me to do this job.

I work with travelers who want to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Vietnam and who want to know and learn about the history and culture of the Vietnamese people.

What is your favorite destination, and why?

My favorite destinations are Hanoi and Halong Bay. I like Hanoi because it is where my country started building a capital. There are many legends about Hanoi that are meaningful and interesting. Halong Bay is a wonderful resource for our country and a protected UNESCO world heritage site of Vietnam.

What is the best kind of food in Vietnam?

I like beef noodles called phở, like soup with beef and some minty vegetable and onion on top. Most Vietnamese like this kind of food for any meal of the day!
