Wine-tastic Venues in Phnom Penh

October 10, 2013 by Khiri Travel | Filed Under: , , ,

Phnom Penh is becoming more and more a culinary highlight on a visit to Cambodia. Wine and fine food are very competitively priced in the capital. Where clients pay a 300% tax for wine in, for example, Thailand, no such burden hurts wine drinkers in Cambodia. It is a great opportunity for clients to go on wine-tasting outings any time of the week. So let’s explore the capitol of the Kingdom of Wonders with an eye on delicious wine, innovative dining and unique settings.

Khiri Travel Cambodia recommends wine venues such as:

The Red Apron Wine Boutique and Restaurant

Around 300 wines, with some of the best wines in the world available here. Upstairs, the Wine & Lifestyle Lounge also provides tasting between meals and wine pairings. Inside, discover a classical and (very practical) display of wines arranged by origins (lands, region and vineyards/countries).

The Warehouse, Wine Shop

Designed to look like a wine cellar with its brick walls and a vaulted ceiling in the back, the Warehouse stocks a selection of over 600 labels from all around the globe. Cambodia’s ultimate premium wine importer, distributor and retailer presents the greatest wines from the best wine-growing districts on the planet.

Le Bouchon Wine Bar

This elegant wine bar features an excellent selection of French wines, most of which come from Bordeaux and have been selected and imported exclusively for this venue. The décor is elegant with a cool blend of colonial and industrial styles. Sip wine surrounded by concrete floors, factory lamps and mirrors with a large u-shaped central bar dominating the room.

FOX Wine Bistro

Fox has a minimal, contemporary design with concrete floors and pillars, an artistically placed stack of used wine barrels behind the bar, and a neatly manicured outside area surrounded by water. Offering a selection of wines from across the world, the bistro also serves a selection of cocktails and Western-style food with an Asian twist.
