things to do at Myanmar - royal foods - signature experience

The king of Bagan was famous for his enormous appetite. He ordered that every meal include 300 different dishes. Our Myanmar signature experience will try to replicate the tastes of this imperial feast. In the Myinkaba market, we will survey (and smell) some pungent herbs and greens and learn about tamarind paste and local sweets. A local monastery will infuse us with the whole spectrum of Burmese tastes from sweet to bitter. Our expedition ends with lunch at a royal banquet of sweet and savory dishes fit for a king—but only 30, not 300!
