Travel Update Indonesia & Laos Digital Arrival Cards (Effective Sept 1, 2025)

New Indonesia Arrival Card Requirement

This update is to inform partners of Indonesia’s new entry requirement – the ‘All Indonesia Arrival Card.’

Basically it is replacing the immigration, customs declaration and health declaration forms into one form. Travelers can fill out the form within three days (72 hours) prior to their arrival. Once submitted, they will receive a QR code, which must be shown along with their passport.

The Arrival Card will be implemented by September 1, 2025 for travelers arriving at the airports in Bali and Jakarta and will be extended to all airports by October 1, 2025.

How to Complete the Arrival Card:

1. Visit allindonesia.imigrasi.go.id

2. Switch the website to English (top right corner) → select “Foreign Visitor”

3. Fill in the required details:

  • Personal: nationality, full name, date of birth, passport number & expiry date, contact information
  • Travel: arrival/departure dates, e-Visa (if applicable)
  • Transport & Accommodation: airport/port of arrival, flight/ship details, hotel or residential address
  • Health & Customs: recent symptoms/travel history, items to declare (e.g., animals, electronics, baggage)

4. Submit the form to receive a QR code

5. Present the QR code (printed or digital) along with your passport upon arrival

Please note:

  • This new form does not replace a visa. Travelers must still obtain the appropriate visa for their stay.
  • Travelers with visa exemptions are still required to complete the All Indonesia Arrival Card.

We recommend that all travelers are informed about this new requirement before their trip to ensure a smooth arrival process.

Laos Introduces Digital Arrival & Departure Card

Starting September 01, 2025, Laos will launch a trial phase of Digital Arrival and Departure Cards, replacing the traditional paper forms. A full rollout across all border checkpoints is planned for 2026.

During the trial, all travelers entering or leaving Laos will be required to complete the documents online in advance when passing through the following four entry points:

1. Wattay International Airport, Vientiane

2. Luang Prabang International Airport, Luang Prabang

3. Pakse International Airport, Pakse

4. First Lao-Thai Friendship Bridge, Vientiane

This initiative is part of the government’s efforts to modernize border procedures, streamline visitor tracking, and strengthen security. By adopting digital entry systems, Laos joins other countries in the region—including Thailand, Singapore, Cambodia, and the Philippines—that have already introduced similar measures.

When and Where to Submit?

This online form is free of charge and must be submitted within 3 days before entry for the Arrival Card and within 3 days before exit for the Departure Card, via the official Laos Immigration website: https://immigration.gov.la/en/home
