Discover hidden gems, local culture, and magical experiences on your Southern Sri Lanka adventure.

Serendipity in Southern Sri Lanka

When it comes to travelling in Sri Lanka, we truly believe that the southern region is one where you can find Serendipity, literally! While the Galle Fort and the southern beaches are anyway famous, how about looking beyond that, meeting people and experiencing moments that will create memories? From foodies to art, music and even magic, we’ve got it all covered!

Carrom, Crab Curry and Chit-Chats

One of our brand-new signature experiences where you visit a local house in Galle for an evening full of fun and food! We start off by learning about the board game called “Carrom” which is famous among locals. Then you get to try out two legendary crab curries prepared in the Southern as well as Northern (Jaffna) style. Just like the locals do, we will have it with bread and Coconut sambol, while having a nice chat of course. While Sri Lanka has world famous seafood restaurants, there’s nothing like spending an evening like a local would do.

Arts & Crafts of Masks

An authentic and private experience where you will visit the house of a family living in the outskirts of Ambalangoda, where Mask making is a traditional legacy. After a quick intro about the history of the practice, you will see how masks are crafted out of wood. Next comes the best part where you will get to paint your own mask. There are no rules and it’s all upto your imagination. This is ideal for families as kids love it!

Baila Beats & Magic Meets

Yet another new experience where you visit a local home for a magical evening. Your host will start with a few sleight of hand magic tricks as you try to catch his secrets if you can. Then comes your introduction to Baila music which is the fast-paced music influenced by the Portuguese. No Sri Lankan meet up is complete without some Baila and of course some snacks and drinks served along the way.
