At Khiri Travel, our guiding principle has always been that travel should be a powerful force for good. For years, we have searched for the best way to ensure our journeys contribute positively to the world. This mission initially led us to implement a Carbon Offset Program, which was an important first step in taking responsibility for our environmental footprint.
What is Regenerative Travel Programs
Our Regenerative Travel Program
Our Journey: Why We’re Evolving
While our Carbon Offset Program was pivotal in mitigating the impact of travel, we came to realize that it didn’t fulfill our complete vision. Our goal was never just to do less harm; it has always been to actively do more good. We believe true sustainable travel must go beyond simply balancing a carbon ledger. It must actively heal, support, and uplift the communities and ecosystems we are privileged to visit. We direct 100% of voluntary traveler contributions to verified local conservation and community projects with annual impact reporting.
The Solution: A Regenerative Approach
With this deeper understanding, we are proud to announce that beginning in 2025, we are transitioning to our new Khiri Regenerative Travel Program. 100% of funds raised directly support vetted local projects – such as clean water access and school construction, managed through Khiri Reach. It shifts the focus from cancellation to contribution, empowering travelers to support local community projects and ecosystem restoration alongside their trip.
For a small, optional contribution of just US$0.50 per person per day (capped at a maximum of US$10 per trip), you can help turn our vision of travel for a positive impact into reality.
Transparency is our promise. Khiri Travel covers all administrative overhead, which means 100% of your contribution goes directly to on-the-ground projects managed by our dedicated foundation, Khiri Reach. Your support funds vital initiatives like building schools, providing clean water, supporting local artisans, and driving conservation efforts. You can learn more about these life-changing projects at khirireach.org.
