Savor a 7-course Sri Lankan fusion fine dining journey in Colombo, where local spices meet global flair at the iconic 1864 restaurant.
When we travel, food is one of the best windows to peek through and get a glimpse of a destination’s culture. That’s exactly what we would like you to do with this fine dining experience. Brace yourselves for a phenomenal gastronomic journey as you head to the 1864 Limited Edition Fine dining restaurant in Colombo, located inside the iconic Galle Face Hotel.

Today’s seven course fine dining menu is personally designed and curated by Chef Dushan Rukmal, a visionary maestro of flavours with a lot experience at Michelin Star rated restaurants and whose passion is creating extraordinary dining experiences. The menu is predominantly fusion, paying tribute to Sri Lankan tastes, herbs and spices. Some dishes might make you wonder whether this was prepared by a chef or a lab scientist.

Starting from a Mini Hopper Amuse Bouche to a Crab Thermidor, a Moringa-Coconut cream blend to a mango arrack sorbet, the carefully crafted dishes will keep on coming one after the other while building up both your appetite and excitement.

For mains you will have the option of choosing from a Seafood dish or a curry infused lamb chop. Eventually the chef might come out and show some of his own moves with a Ceylon Arrack Spiced flambé banana to end the experience on a high note.

Since this is all about fusion, it works perfectly regardless of whether this is your first day in Sri Lanka looking for a culinary introduction, or on your last day in Sri Lanka after being curried-out, as a fitting farewell to Sri Lankan cuisine.
