Over the course of about 12 kilometers, approximately up to 6 hours of light but adventurous trekking, you’ll follow scenic trails that wind past rice terraces, soft streams, local waterfalls, and wide open mountain views. It is the kind of scenery that makes you want to slow down, take as many photos as possible, and breathe it all in. Along the way, there will be several stops to take refreshments and opportunities to speak with locals, including moments where you may come across scenes of daily life such as a group of H’mong women sitting together, chatting as they go about their day.

In this trek, you’ll visit three local villages, Y Linh Ho and Lao Chai which are both home to the Black H’mong people, and the Ta Van village, where the Dzay community lives. These villages give you a chance to see daily life up close, learn a bit about local culture, and connect with the people who call this region home. Around midday, you’ll take a lunch to enjoy a simple meal with a local homestay for a more personal cultural experience while surrounded by incredible views. After lunch, the trek continues at an easy pace before heading back to Sapa in the afternoon.
